Roma McCaig is a dynamic C-suite leader, board director, and advisor with over 25 years at the forefront of corporate communications, ESG, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and philanthropy. She has driven transformative change, scaled the impact of iconic brands, and shaped narratives that code purpose into a company’s ethos, strategy, and operations.

Most recently, she served as Chief Public Affairs and Impact Officer at REI Co-op, where she worked to scale the co-op’s mission and purpose through internal and external communications, sustainability, community partnerships, philanthropic giving, public policy, government affairs, and broader advocacy initiatives.

Prior to REI, Roma was SVP of Impact & Communications at Clif Bar & Company where she oversaw an integrated sustainability, community, and communications strategy to align with the company’s Five Aspirations business model and growth plan and then led the ESG pillar on the post-acquisition integration of Clif into Mondelēz International. Prior to Clif, Roma held senior leadership roles at Campbell Soup Company responsible for ESG strategy, reporting, and stakeholder engagement as well as global procurement strategy, operations and responsible sourcing.

Roma earned her Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Tennessee. She sits on the board of B Lab, the global standards body that has certified more than 9000 B Corps around the world.

She was named by Trellis Group (formerly GreenBiz) as one of “25 Badass Women Shaping Climate Action in 2021,” by Ad Age in 2022 as one of “15 Executives Leading Sustainability Efforts in Marketing and Advertising,” and has been a judge for the Anthem Awards since 2022.
